Civitta has once again successfully attracted funding for 2 highly innovative companies through the European Commission SME-instrument.
The first company is developing solar powered batteries for charging phones and electric lamps for off-grid communities in developing world. Off-grid households can replace their current kerosene lamps and regular trips to mobile phone chargers with a single solution and still save around 30 % of their daily energy budget.
The second company has the intention to replace current outdated belt-barriers in airports that indicates how to stand in line before passport check of check-in desk into autonomous and fun swarms of robots that can provide information, advertisements and entertainment to passengers. Civitta will work with both the companies on the implementation of their feasibility studies and support them in the further commercialization of these innovative products. Civitta has already successfully attracted funding for 10 different companies from 4 countries through the SME-instrument, which the European Commission has nicknamed the European innovation champions' league.
