Civitta is developing cost-benefit analysis for one of the biggest hospitals in Latvia2017-02-15
Since December, 2016 experts from Civitta Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia are carrying out a cost-benefit analysis for the construction of a new building for Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital - one of the biggest hospitals in Latvia, which plays a highly significant role in health care, education and research. Most of its current infrastructure was built more than 100 years ago, thus its technical condition and arrangement create inappropriate environment both for the patients and hospital's personnel.
The construction of a new building A was selected as the most effective solution to these problems and the 1st phase of construction will be completed in 2017. Since the project is supported by EU funds, adequate cost-benefit analysis has a crucial importance for reducing the financial burden from the hospital through attracting external financing. It is planned that during the 2nd phase of construction, 91 m EUR will be invested into the construction of new premises and purchasing new equipment for the improvement of cardiovascular, oncological, perinatal and neonatal period health care.
Civitta consultants are delighted of the opportunity to use their experience and knowledge of health care sector to help Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital to attract the necessary funding. It will allow to increase the accessibility of health care services by reducing waiting time and to improve their overall quality. As a result, the life expectancy of Latvia's inhabitants should become longer, which is currently one of the most significant problems for Latvia as well as strategic goal in the future.
