At CIVITTA we challenge the traditional consulting industry, mixing smart people with lean processes and structures. We are not afraid to encourage our clients to think out of the box and challenge their own industries. This means asking difficult questions and bringing bold, new ideas and innovative solutions to the table.
We have asked Reesi Lepa - a team leader from CIVITTA Estonia - to share her thoughts on this.
It’s all about people and learning! Listening, asking questions, and being able to do meaningful things with the answers. Reflecting on the ideas of others and creating new ideas on top. I think the main aspect of being a challenger is not to confront, but complement and see new aspects, making good things to happen. And the other side of the coin is the impact. To see the difference your work can bring is an amazing feeling!
Sports is the field where I’ve challenged myself the most. I used to hate it, now I’m doing it quite a lot. Most of us have probably tried some sports before the workday starts. Some jogging or yoga or swimming? But have you ever tried skiing before coming to work? Feels great, I can tell you! While doing sports, emotions calm, and everything kind of falls into place. Especially in the (cold) open air.
Never get tired of learning and trying new things! Estonia is a great place to start a career in consulting. Our society is developing so fast, it’s impossible to stand still and do the „usual stuff“. As a consultant, you’d always have to be one step ahead, see one aspect more, suggest one new approach. Just hold on tight not to get dizzy and hop on!
