EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) committed to revolutionising urban mobility across Europe. As Europe’s leading network for transport innovation, working in partnership with 250 organisations across 35 countries, EIT Urban Mobility tackles crucial urban challenges, including reducing traffic congestion, improving air quality, and advancing sustainable transportation methods. In addition to its five central Innovation Hubs across the EU, EIT Urban Mobility provides targeted support to regions and cities that have traditionally struggled to compete through the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS).
These efforts are designed to foster collaboration and ensure that cutting-edge solutions reach the market quickly and effectively.
EIT Urban Mobility’s focus spans a wide range of critical topics, including public transport, electrification, mobility data management, urban logistics, and the development of new mobility services. By addressing these areas, the initiative seeks to create smarter and more sustainable urban transportation systems with the ultimate goal of transforming European cities into healthier, cleaner, and more vibrant urban environments with better quality of life for all of their residents.
Civitta’s unique position as the Slovak Hub for EIT Urban Mobility is rooted in our alignment with EIT’s core activities. By fostering entrepreneurship, accelerating commercialization, and connecting key stakeholders, we actively contribute to the goals of EIT Urban Mobility.
Through these activities, Civitta serves as a catalyst for innovation, helping to develop and deploy sustainable and efficient urban mobility solutions. Our commitment to fostering a vibrant and interconnected ecosystem aligns perfectly with EIT Urban Mobility’s mission.
