We are looking for a strong mid/senior level PrestaShop developer with Symfony and PHP expertise to join our team. You will design, develop, and maintain custom e-commerce solutions on PrestaShop, while also supporting legacy projects and ensuring smooth integrations with third-party services. The role involves building scalable, performant, and maintainable solutions that enhance the shopping experience and business workflows.

You will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom PrestaShop modules, themes, and core integrations;
  • Extend & adapt PrestaShops core functionality using Symfony (v5–7) and PHP (8+);
  • Maintain, debug, refactor, and modernize existing PrestaShop projects ensuring backward compatibility;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, UX/UI designers, DevOps, and product managers;
  • Implement secure payment gateways, shipping methods, and third-party system integrations (ERP, CRM, marketplaces, analytics, etc.);
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code that follows best practices, SOLID principles, and PrestaShop coding standards;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance, caching, SEO, and scalability issues in PrestaShop stores;
  • Ensure compatibility with major PrestaShop version upgrades;
  • Stay up to date with e-commerce trends, PrestaShop community updates, and emerging web technologies.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in PHP development, with at least 2+ years working on PrestaShop projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PrestaShop architecture, including module and theme development, hooks, overrides, and customizations.
  • Experience with Symfony, including components like Serializer, Messenger (message bus), and Dependency Injection.
  • Experience with migrating PrestaShop projects, upgrading across major versions, and maintaining backward compatibility.
  • Solid understanding of OOP, RESTful APIs, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Proficiency with MySQL/MariaDB, Doctrine ORM, and caching systems (Redis, Memcached).
  • Familiarity with e-commerce essentials: SEO optimization, performance tuning, multi-language/multi-shop setups, and GDPR compliance.
  • Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES6, and frameworks like React) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance independent work and collaboration in a team environment.
  • Upper-Intermediate English level for technical communication and documentation.

Our salary range is between 30 EUR gross/hour and 37 EUR gross/hour and depends on your experience as well as the results of the interviewing process.
