This is a full-time role in Kyiv, with some work-from-home options. As a Chief Accountant you will be fully responsible for the 4 of our legal entities (2 LLCs and 2 NGOs).

You will:

  • Provide full accounting and tax support and consulting on tax matters for the Project teams;
  • Proofread contacts by providing comments, recommendations, and remarks;
  • Communicate with clients regarding requirements according to Ukrainian legislation and search for compromise solutions;
  • Ensure completion of tax, statistical, and financial reporting following UA legislation;
  • Work with VAT (accounting, registration, preparation of data for VAT declaration.);
  • Control activities over the primary document’s quality and existence;
  • Ensure tax compliance and identify and avoid possible tax risks and tax penalties;
  • Participate in annual audit;
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and declarations to state authorities (tax inspection, statistical authorities, etc.);
  • Control payables and receivables;
  • Be responsible for payroll and personnel Accounting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field;
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting;
  • Deep experience with Excel/Google Sheets;
  • Excellent knowledge of Accounting and Tax Accounting reporting for Ukrainian tax legislation;
  • Experience in NGOs accounting;
  • Problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and administrative skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented mindset and ability to multitask;
  • Experience with Dia City and financial qualifications (ACCA, CFA, CIMA) will be a plus.
