You will:

  • Support authorities in the preparation and development of Territorial Development Plans (PATJ);
  • Assist city administrations in creating and updating General Urban Development Plans (PUG);
  • Contribute to the design of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans, Integrated Urban Development Strategies, and other sectoral policies and strategies for municipalities and metropolitan areas;
  • Participate in projects related to cultural heritage protection, helping local authorities preserve and enhance historic urban areas;
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange between cities in the EU, helping them learn from one another and implement best practices;
  • Contribute to the development of evidence-based policies for national and European institutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Urban Planning or Architecture (mandatory);
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience in urban/territorial development projects (e.g., PATJ, PUG, PUZ) or cultural heritage-related work in Romania;
  • Basic to intermediate skills in GIS, CAD, and mapping – essential for spatial data work (mandatory);
  • Basic knowledge of Romanian legislation in urban planning and related fields, necessary for the elaboration of urban development plans (mandatory);
  • Passion for urban and territorial development with a desire to make a positive impact;
  • Ability to produce clear visualizations and graphics to communicate ideas;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills – you’ll participate in community engagement activities and professional meetings;
  • Advanced level of English language and native level of Romanian language;
  • Analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset;
  • Familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel;
  • Ability to write reports and studies as part of your project work;
  • Team-oriented attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

The final monthly salary for this position ranges from 7.000 RON gross/month to 14.000 RON gross/month and depends on your previous experience and assessment during interviews!
