Agriculture Expert
Dr. Jim Barnhart joined J.E. Austin Associates (now part of Civitta) as Senior Director for Agriculture, bringing 40 years of global development experience. He spent over two decades at USAID, leading programs across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, and serving as Mission Director in Jordan, Albania, and Lebanon. Most recently, he led Oxbow Farm and Conservation Center in Washington, focusing on organic farming, conservation, and experiential education. Jim holds a Ph.D. in Economics, a Master’s in International Relations, and a Bachelor’s degree from Furman University.
