Our client, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), is an EU agency working to strengthen financial stability and consumer protection in the insurance and occupational pensions sectors across the European Union. EIOPA promotes supervisory convergence, supports consistent regulatory practices, and enhances cooperation among national authorities.

The Authority is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Civitta, in cooperation with Synergie Personal Deutschland GmbH, provides temporary staffing services to the agency under an EU Framework Service Contract for interim services

Legal Assistant

As a Legal Assistant at EIOPA, you will support the Legal Unit in ensuring efficient and effective delivery of its activities. You will provide administrative and organisational support, including assistance to the Data Protection Officer, within a dynamic and multicultural environment.

You will

    • Provide general administrative support to the Legal Unit
    • Check, format, and draft documents, including memos and complaint-handling responses
    • Manage legal documentation and filing systems, including litigation-related files
    • Monitor internal and external deadlines and ensure timely follow-up
    • Manage functional mailboxes
    • Monitor relevant case law supporting the Legal Unit’s activities
    • Support the Data Protection Officer in maintaining personal data documentation

Requirements

    • Post-secondary education in Law (diploma required)
    • At least 1 year of relevant professional experience, preferably in a multicultural environment
    • Experience in an EU institution or agency is considered an asset
    • Excellent command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel) and familiarity with AI tools
    • Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
    • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
    • Proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with stakeholders

Benefits

    • Full-time temporary role for 3 months, with a possible extension of up to 9 months based on operational needs
    • Hourly salary: €20.28–€22.95 (approximately €2,948–€3,335 gross per month)
