HOW ABOUT DRIVING INNOVATION IN EUROPEAN CYBERSECURITY?
Our client, the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), aims to strengthen Europe’s cybersecurity capacities and competitiveness. Working together with a Network of National Coordination Centres (NCCs), the ECCC supports the development of a strong European cybersecurity community. The Centre is located in Bucharest, Romania. Civitta is providing temporary staffing services to the agency.
Communication and Engagement Assistant

As a Communication and Engagement Assistant at the ECCC, you will support the effective implementation of community-related activities by contributing to communication, stakeholder engagement, and administrative processes. Working in a fast-paced EU environment, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, demonstrating strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

You will:

    • Draft and manage communication materials (social media posts, newsletters, and outreach content) and contribute to the Cyber Community’s strategic communication plan and new visual identity

    • Act as the primary communication focal point for internal services, external stakeholders, and service providers, while managing the secretariat for relevant working groups

    • Coordinate online and onsite events and meetings, handling logistics, mapping, invitations, travel arrangements, agenda preparation, and follow-up actions

    • Handle data and monitoring support by maintaining accurate data in relevant IT platforms/databases and assisting colleagues across project clusters

    • Support procurement processes by assisting in the drafting and preparation of tender and procurement documents

    • Proactively propose innovative stakeholder engagement practices to enhance community visibility and participation

Requirements:

    • University degree of at least 3 years of study
    • Professional experience in stakeholder engagement, institutional cooperation, or EU public affairs
    • Proven experience supporting the organization of online and onsite meetings and events
    • Proficiency in digital tools, IT platforms for communication, and social media management
    • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills with an ability to manage multiple deadlines
    • Excellent command of English (C1 level or higher)
    • Considered a significant advantage:

      • Experience working within an EU/public administration setting

      • Familiarity with public procurement procedures (ideally European procurements) and managing providers

      • Experience in database management and the capacity to develop graphics using relevant tools

Benefits:

    • Full-time temporary role for one year, with possible extension based on operational needs
    • Salary range: EUR 2,500–3,200 gross per month, depending on experience
