BASF
BASF is one of the global leaders in the chemical industry, with a strong agriculture division focused on helping farmers improve productivity through innovative crop solutions.
Operating across multiple countries, BASF works through independent local markets, each with distinct priorities, legal requirements, customer expectations, and ways of working. Our collaboration began in the Baltics and later expanded into Romania and Bulgaria. While the partnership is built on common principles – speed, accuracy, scalability, and data-driven decision-making – the solution package is tailored to each country, reflecting local market dynamics, user needs, and native-language support.
What began as a smaller app-related project grew into a long-term, multiservice and multi-expertise partnership. As BASF saw the potential to consolidate digital, data, design, marketing, and operational support within one trusted team, the collaboration expanded across markets and disciplines.
This growth created a new type of challenge: BASF needed a partner that could move quickly, deliver precisely, and remain ready to support several internal teams in parallel. The work required not only technical execution, but also a strong understanding of local market dynamics, customer behavior, legal requirements, and the practical realities of sales, marketing, and commercial teams.
Civitta acts as an integrated extension of BASF teams, combining strong local presence with cross-functional expertise. Rather than applying one standard solution everywhere, we adapted the delivery model to each market while keeping the core principles consistent: practical innovation, reliable execution, scalable systems, and decisions supported by data.
Our teams worked as if we were part of BASF: proactively identifying what could be improved, helping local teams move faster, and supporting BASF in strengthening its position as an innovative market leader. Native-language support, understanding of local mentalities, and awareness of market-specific legal and operational requirements allowed us to tailor solutions in a way that felt relevant and usable in each country.
