Modernizing LHV’s financial portal

Client

LHV Bank

The background:

LHV Bank is on a mission to improve access to financial services and capital for its clients. However, they faced a challenge: their financial portal was outdated in both appearance and functionality. It had a clunky user interface, lacked modern features, and had a tedious authentication process.

As a result, we undertook a comprehensive overhaul of the portal, with the goal of substantially improving user experience and functionality. All the while, we ensured seamless integration with LHV’s existing systems.

Aim of the project:

We immediately resonated with LHV’s mission. This project wasn’t just about giving the portal a facelift. It was about enhancing accessibility and user-friendliness for the Estonian community, making high-quality financial tools and information more accessible.

During the enhancement process of the financial portal, we were revolutionizing how LHV interacts with its community. The project addressed real issues, including improvement of user authentication, introduction of more interactive forums, and optimization of content management.

What we have constructed is poised to establish a new benchmark for financial portals, not only in Estonia but also beyond. Our objective was to stimulate greater engagement, longer session durations, and an overall enhanced user experience. With modernized features and heightened security measures in place, we are confident that this portal will evolve into an indispensable tool for LHV’s customers.

Services provided:

  • UI/UX Design: We crafted an intuitive and visually appealing interface with the end-user in mind.
  • Backend Development: We utilized Strapi to manage backend functionalities.
  • LHV SSO Integration: We seamlessly integrated LHV’s Single Sign-On (SSO) provider to ensure consistent user authentication across the portal and forum.
  • Forum Functionalities: We successfully incorporated Discourse to handle forum interactions and community engagement.
  • Content Migration: We securely transferred all existing content to the new platform without disrupting the user experience.
  • Advanced Tagging and Filtering: We developed an efficient tagging system for articles, media management, and content filtering.
  • Single Database Design: We utilized PostgreSQL to store all project data, adhering to the principle of maintaining a single source of truth.
  • Scalability and Futureproofing: We designed the system to accommodate future scalability and additional features without overwhelming the current user base.

Project result:

While we can not quantify the results of the project yet, it is already clear that we transformed the way financial literacy and tools are accessed and utilized.
